The regular hours of the Clerk’s Office are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
The Municipal Clerk’s Office is the information and communication center of local government. The Municipal Clerk serves as the secretary to the Mayor and Council and maintains all ordinances, resolutions, and minutes of all Council meetings. Legal Notices are placed in New Jersey Herald.
The Clerk’s Office serves as a general clearinghouse and receiving office for a variety of municipal transactions. The following are some of the services provided: liquor licenses, bingo and raffle permits, food handlers licenses, road opening permits, receipt of bids, assessment search certificates. Vital Statistic functions include birth, death and marriage certificates. The Clerk’s Office provides notary service as requested.
Department Services
- Dog licenses must be renewed every year before the end of January. License fees are as follows: Neutered/Spayed Dogs: $10.00 Non-Neutured/Spayed Dogs: $13.00 Download Dog License Application (PDF format) Dogs not licensed by the end of January will be assessed a delinquent fee of $5.00 per month. - The Municipal Clerk also oversees the election process, issuing voter registration applications and/or address changes on voter records. Party affiliation forms and absentee ballot applications are also available in the Clerkâs Office. Residents must be registered at least 21 days prior to any election in order to be eligible to vote.
